It was just last week-end that we took our trip out to San Antonio de Areco. Mom made the plan and she didn't even remember why she picked that week-end but we had to go and when we got there we figured it out: It was their first celebration of their 280 year anniversary as a city. The place started out as an estancia to a General that had a falling out with another big historic figure around here, General Belgrano. I think it was General Paz? Anyway, it's on a plaque in the town square if you go ;-). What I wanted to show you all are the rest of the fun pictures. My favorite was the fishing, the bunk beds, the fire, and all the chocolate from Theresa and Carols, the family, that owns our hotel too. I liked the Gauchos-especially the kids. It was cool to be right across the street from the park and the stream for fishing. Asking the silversmith about all his tools was fun and I really liked making a friend at the park. Mom brought us every favorite flavor of ice cream and we shared with our new friend. I almost forgot about the pastel art lesson from Gasparini.

| This is all happening right outside our door in a big fun park |
| I want a gaucho outfit just like this one! We looked but they only had adult sizes. |
| check out how Gauchos just leave their horse on the side of the street with a leather strap on their ankles. They don't even tie them to a post like in the movies. |
| This silversmith shop was really cool. Patricio Draghi's place...seems like this was a big family in this city. They have the hotel, ropemaker, and gallery. |
| They were so nice! They filled bags of chocolate for us. |
