We enjoyed the day in bohemian and historic Viejo Palermo. The plaza is names after famous author, Julio Cotazar (Carina--this one's dedicated to you!). Julio is somewhat the James Dean charismatic character of Argentina. Julio wrote a number of books and is known for his short stories. Julio had a varied career as a professor, UNESCO, translator of classics such as Robinson Crusue into Spanish, and advocating against Peronista policies. Julio was influenced by the classics as a child; particular favorites were the stories from Jules Verne.
Check out the plaza eclecticness in the buiding facades. Mom and Dad enjoyed coffee while the Two Kids enjoyed a pick-up game of soccer.
