What an Opportunity to Experience Polo

Does Ivan look professional or what?

My horse is Rosilla!
Konstantin concentrates and has a mission for his moves with Lulu. Guys are naturals!  They love it.   Does get hot out here though and we need to go cool off in the pool.

Three polo fields to play on!  We had lots of space and open time.  We also got lucky and watched a couple of polo matches literally on the sidelines and mingling with the players.

Kids playing in the hospitality house that was set up for the annual Christmas tournament and party hosting all the polo players from the region.  Canuelas and Pilar are big polo areas and while I don't know how many it seems to be a major concentration of polo clubs.

Check out that one-handed control on the reigns, Western style so you can hold the mallet with your other hands.

Tata is on Porota, Konstantin on Lulu, Ivan on Rosilla, and Mama on Nazarena.  The guys got attached to their horses while they were here and even say they learned their tendencies.

All set for a sunny morning!

Trivia question for you all:  How many polo ponies does each player have?

The game of polo has 8 chukkas (isn't that a funny word) of 7 minutes each!

Ivan practicing cantering.  "I love to go fast."  Both Ivan and Konstantin are rather fearless.  I get nervous watching their little legs bounce around when they take off.  They learned to hug the horse with their legs.

Polo Dad

Are we having fun yet?

It was great getting to know Noriko better!

Very restful stay

Enjoying so much with Hide, Yui, Noriko and May (L to R)
Lovely dining room in the guest house.  It's the original home from 3 generations bought from a General and now the Baker family has started the polo club.

I love this shot!  Konstantin said his legs were stuck after getting off the horse!  He didn't know it's the typical bowlegged cowboy pose!

The Ocada's joined us.  The kids enjoyed exploring the grounds, pool, and playing together.  They're friends from Washington School!  Us adults especially enjoyed each other's company throughout our entire Argentina experience!  Yui, Mei, Noriko and Hide (R to L)
