Apartment #3 and Final: Cañitas

Imagine a little neighborhood like Saint Germain de Pres or Spring Street in SOHO but in Spanish!  That is Cañitas.  Las Cañitas is one of the best places in the city for people watching.    It's a tiny triangle neighborhood in Buenos Aires and that is where our final apartment is for our stay here to be totally immersed in the language and culture.

The name of Cañitas comes from the name given to the road: Camino de Las Cañitas, which means little sugar cane road. Here are some highlights for the neighborhood.

We enjoyed a lovely artisan fair in Belgrano the neighboring district off of Juramento Street in our new neck of the woods.

Lots and lots of "parilleras" or bbq restaurants.  You get an assortment of cuts of meat and sausages.
