View from the Top and Mexican Food Fest

Here's a quick spin view from our balcony.  Down to the left, just out of view is a cute old church.  One block more and you have the polo fields.  You see the people practicing out there and it's nice scenery as we walk to the park.  Subway stop is just up at the corner even closer than our last place.  We can hop to Alto Palermo and go to the movies or shopping very easily.

There is a lovely building there in the background in this pleasant plaza and you see the Starbucks of ice cream, Freddo.  It's about 6pm on a Saturday night and still very early for the locals but this area will be packed with pedestrians by 9pm and dinner won't really start until 10pm (and that's still early).
We were starved and when we walked by California Burrito Company...We couldn't resist.  I remember reading the good reviews.  This turned out to be a perfect choice.  Ivan ordered three times!  It was like a salad bar of Mexican food fixings and they would put as many of the items you wanted on your order.  Kids had so much fun ordering and working their Spanish vocabulary.  Ivan kept finishing his tacos, quesadilllas, and finally a humongous burrito which we ended up taking half home because I think he got a little of every item in it.  As usual the charmer as he works to articulate so seriously in Spanish.  Konstantin also went through some tacos and several custom quesadilllas!  The young lady was so patient with us and lucky we were early--there was only one other family there but by the time we were done a line was already forming.

Konstantin had us all have fun with this signage.  He thought it was so funny and chanted "Peace, Love, Burritos and added PLEASE love burritos." He got us all into a giggle fit as it struck his funny bone and laughed until he had tears in his eyes and clutched his tummy.  Clearly we were low on blood-sugar.
