| Puesto Viejo Polo Club Estancia a little over an hour out of town |
Thanks for all the great articles and suggestions on what to do and where to go while we've been on this adventure. We've tried to do them all!
We have time for one last trip before we return to Florida. We were thinking about Cordoba area with lots of rivers and cabalgadas (hiking with a horse) and Mendoza the manicured Napa valley as it was about 25 years ago and up north, Salta and Jujuy that is like Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico all put together with Argentinian and a bit of spillover from Bolivia culture. All great trips and we opted for a both relaxing and active stay at a polo club (no air travel involved-big plus!). Kids will get great care and doting instruction on how to ride gaucho and polo style! The horses are out of this world, nothing like any horse ranches we've gone to before where the horses know the trail and that is pretty much what they do.
There are a couple of families from school joining us so we can celebrate our new bonds and enjoy lovely days and evenings. Check out the link. Local gourmet and parilla with high tea served! Lots of good wine to sample and no driving! This could become an annual tradition!
We head out the day after school is out! December 18th!
