Juan Carlos cuts us the best pieces of meat. You should have some of his ground beef. He brings a big shank of beef and slices some pieces that look just like great steaks, trims the fat and grinds it right there for us! Yummy, healthy, fresh, hormone-free ground beef. It was cold the other day and we made a big pot of "Albondiga" meatball soup with lots of vegetables including and my favorite tender fennel and this time it really tasted just my mom used to make. We mixed a little brown rice in the meat and the Two Kids loved it! We shared with Angel our guard on duty today since he has to be in a little room watching security cameras all day and it's cold in there!
Bien Venidos!
We're glad you're here. Let's keep in touch and talk about what you're doing and we can share about our experience going to school, making friends, and exploring in the Southern Cone.

Our Favorite "Verdureria" and Juan Carlos the Butcher
This is a great place and it's right on Santa Fe and Arevalos, just 3 blocks from our current apartment and we pass it every day going to school and coming home. It's 100 yards from our subway stop. Just awesome fun service selecting a handful of this and a couple of those. Today we got 2 giant kiwis, zucchini, an onion for our pasta bolognese, broccoli, cucumbers, corn, carrots and 6 fresh eggs. No strawberries today but that's a regular to pick up 1/2 kilo of strawberries on the way home. It's in the same booth as our favorite friendly butcher, Juan Carlos.
